In the pre\u00adlim\u00adi\u00adnary plan, the new hydro\u00adgen plant would have an elec\u00adtrol\u00adyser with a max\u00adi\u00admum capac\u00adi\u00adty of 600 MW. Imple\u00admen\u00adta\u00adtion would take place in 2\u20133 phas\u00ades.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addi\u00adtion to hydro\u00adgen pro\u00adduc\u00adtion, the com\u00adpa\u00adny is explor\u00ading the pos\u00adsi\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adty of pro\u00adduc\u00ading methanol and sus\u00adtain\u00adable avi\u00ada\u00adtion fuel (E\u2011SAF) in Oulu. The fea\u00adsi\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adty of syn\u00adthet\u00adic fuel pro\u00adduc\u00adtion depends on the avail\u00adabil\u00adi\u00adty of bio\u00adgenic car\u00adbon diox\u00adide. ABO Ener\u00adgy would offer the waste heat gen\u00ader\u00adat\u00aded for use as dis\u00adtrict heat\u00ading in the Oulu region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first phase is planned to be oper\u00ada\u00adtional around 2034\u20132036. For the new green tran\u00adsi\u00adtion indus\u00adtri\u00adal area of Pyyryv\u00e4i\u00adnen, the plant would be imple\u00adment\u00aded by ABO Ener\u00adgy Suo\u00admi Oy, whose par\u00adent com\u00adpa\u00adny is ABO Ener\u00adgy KGaA of Ger\u00admany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFin\u00adland is an incred\u00adi\u00adbly attrac\u00adtive des\u00adti\u00adna\u00adtion for invest\u00adment, thanks to our abun\u00addant, afford\u00adable green elec\u00adtric\u00adi\u00adty and excep\u00adtion\u00adal capac\u00adi\u00adty to scale up pro\u00adduc\u00adtion. Our unique strength as a com\u00adpa\u00adny lies in our abil\u00adi\u00adty to sup\u00adply renew\u00adable ener\u00adgy to hydro\u00adgen projects direct\u00adly through our wind ener\u00adgy port\u00adfo\u00adlio,\u201d says Aman\u00adda Card\u00adwell of ABO Ener\u00adgy Suo\u00admi Oy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Elec\u00adtric\u00adi\u00adty in Fin\u00adland is among the cheap\u00adest in Europe. The Oulu region is the largest pro\u00adduc\u00ader of renew\u00adable elec\u00adtric\u00adi\u00adty in Fin\u00adland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sev\u00ader\u00adal oth\u00ader hydro\u00adgen pro\u00adduc\u00adtion and H2 deriv\u00ada\u00adtive projects have already been ini\u00adti\u00adat\u00aded in the Oulu region. Gas\u00adgrid Fin\u00adland plans to estab\u00adlish a hydro\u00adgen trans\u00adport infra\u00adstruc\u00adture to con\u00adnect Oulu\u2019s hydro\u00adgen pro\u00adduc\u00adtion with the rest of Fin\u00adland and oth\u00ader Euro\u00adpean coun\u00adtries, includ\u00ading Ger\u00admany. Oth\u00ader hydro\u00adgen pro\u00adduc\u00adtion com\u00adpa\u00adnies have also decid\u00aded to invest in Oulu, attract\u00aded by the inter\u00adna\u00adtion\u00adal port of Oulu, bio\u00adgenic car\u00adbon diox\u00adide sources and the Euro\u00adpean TEN\u2011T trans\u00adport net\u00adwork. The Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty of Oulu is also a cen\u00adtre of hydro\u00adgen research, pro\u00advid\u00ading the city with both high-qual\u00adi\u00adty hydro\u00adgen exper\u00adtise and a large pool of hydro\u00adgen spe\u00adcial\u00adists to meet com\u00adpa\u00adnies\u2019 work\u00adforce needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This land reser\u00adva\u00adtion is only a pre\u00adlim\u00adi\u00adnary deci\u00adsion; a final invest\u00adment deci\u00adsion will be made lat\u00ader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:57px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\">\n\n\n\n<p>About Oulu GH2 \u2014 Togeth\u00ader towards green hydro\u00adgen busi\u00adness in Oulu and North\u00adern Fin\u00adland project aims to cre\u00adate a cen\u00adtral\u00adized hydro\u00adgen econ\u00ado\u00admy inno\u00adva\u00adtion ecosys\u00adtem oper\u00adat\u00ading mod\u00adel for the region of Oulu and North Ostro\u00adboth\u00adnia. As part of the project, the hydro\u00adgen val\u00adley of the Both\u00adn\u00adian Bay will be built by shar\u00ading infor\u00adma\u00adtion and bring\u00ading actors togeth\u00ader, shar\u00ading news and best case stud\u00adies, and effec\u00adtive\u00adly com\u00admu\u00adni\u00adcat\u00ading them to dif\u00adfer\u00adent parts of the net\u00adwork by Busi\u00adnes\u00adsOulu.
