The sixth EHEC (Euro\u00adpean Hydro\u00adgen Ener\u00adgy Con\u00adfer\u00adence) was held in Seville, Spain, from 11th to 13th March 2026. The con\u00adgress offers net\u00adwork\u00ading and a meet\u00ading place for var\u00adi\u00adous com\u00adpa\u00adnies in sci\u00adence and tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy. EHEC is one of the largest hydro\u00adgen events in Europe.

A joint stand orga\u00adnized by Busi\u00adnes\u00adsOulu was found on site, where three Finnish com\u00adpa\u00adnies with strong con\u00adnec\u00adtions to Oulu, were rep\u00adre\u00adsent\u00aded in addi\u00adtion to CleantechOulu. The stand high\u00adlight\u00aded the diver\u00adsi\u00adty of exper\u00adtise and the region\u2019s role in advanc\u00ading clean tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy and indus\u00adtri\u00adal solu\u00adtions. Pin\u00adja<\/strong><\/a> which main\u00adtains sig\u00adnif\u00adi\u00adcant oper\u00ada\u00adtions in Oulu,offers soft\u00adware and cloud-based solu\u00adtions for indus\u00adtri\u00adal use, which can be used to mon\u00adi\u00adtor, for exam\u00adple, the imple\u00admen\u00adta\u00adtion of envi\u00adron\u00admen\u00adtal goals. Spin-off start-up com\u00adpa\u00adny from the Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty of Oulu and cur\u00adrent\u00adly Ker\u00ada\u00adva-based hydro\u00adgen com\u00adpa\u00adny Zun\u2011H<\/strong><\/a> pro\u00adduces emis\u00adsion-free hydro\u00adgen using solar pan\u00adels, the pan\u00adels can be uti\u00adlized on var\u00adi\u00adous scales, for exam\u00adple, up to indus\u00adtry. The third par\u00adtic\u00adi\u00adpant, Jensen Hugh\u00ades<\/strong><\/a>, offers fire pro\u00adtec\u00adtion con\u00adsult\u00ading, the company\u2019s exper\u00adtise also extends to hydro\u00adgen and nuclear pow\u00ader ser\u00advices and has estab\u00adlished oper\u00ada\u00adtions in Oulu.

The now more inter\u00adna\u00adtion\u00adal con\u00adfer\u00adence, which brought togeth\u00ader a cou\u00adple of thou\u00adsand vis\u00adi\u00adtors, offered an in-depth, sci\u00adence-focused pro\u00adgram relat\u00aded to hydro\u00adgen and numer\u00adous expert dis\u00adcus\u00adsions. Key Account Direc\u00adtor Janne Hietanie\u00admi<\/strong> also par\u00adtic\u00adi\u00adpat\u00aded in the inter\u00adna\u00adtion\u00adal round\u00adtable dis\u00adcus\u00adsion. Janne men\u00adtions the trans\u00adfor\u00adma\u00adtion of numer\u00adous hydro\u00adgen pilots into large demos as the best con\u00adtri\u00adbu\u00adtion, as well as news about large invest\u00adment deci\u00adsions from the Span\u00adish com\u00adpa\u00adny Moeve. Moeve is invest\u00ading a bil\u00adlion in the hydro\u00adgen indus\u00adtry and thus strength\u00aden\u00ading the progress of renew\u00adable ener\u00adgy in south\u00adern Europe.

The Busi\u00adnes\u00adsOulu depart\u00adment was praised for its arrange\u00adments and good con\u00adtacts.
The next EHEC will be held in Madrid in two years.

The project is fund\u00aded by the North\u00adern Ostro\u00adboth\u00adnia Region, which finances the project as part of the Renew\u00ading and Skilled Fin\u00adland 2021\u20132027, the EU\u2019s region\u00adal and struc\u00adtur\u00adal pol\u00adi\u00adcy pro\u00adgramme, from the Euro\u00adpean Region\u00adal Devel\u00adop\u00adment Fund (ERDF).
