The Edu\u00adca\u00adtion\u00adal Con\u00adsor\u00adtium OSAO has signed an agree\u00adment with the Dutch com\u00adpa\u00adny Holthausen Clean Tech\u00adnolo\u00adgies to deliv\u00ader Fin\u00adland\u2019s first hydro\u00adgen truck for road use. The vehi\u00adcle is sched\u00aduled for deliv\u00adery in August\u2013September 2026. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The pro\u00adcure\u00adment is part of the joint VISIOK project by OSAO, the Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty of Oulu and Oulu Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty of Applied Sci\u00adences, which devel\u00adops learn\u00ading and research envi\u00adron\u00adments in line with the green tran\u00adsi\u00adtion and strength\u00adens the role of voca\u00adtion\u00adal edu\u00adca\u00adtion in the intro\u00adduc\u00adtion of new tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy. In con\u00adnec\u00adtion with the intro\u00adduc\u00adtion of the hydro\u00adgen truck, an exten\u00adsive test\u00ading and research pack\u00adage will be car\u00adried out in coop\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtion with the Uni\u00adver\u00adsi\u00adty of Oulu. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The aim is to pro\u00adduce prac\u00adti\u00adcal infor\u00adma\u00adtion on the suit\u00adabil\u00adi\u00adty of dif\u00adfer\u00adent propul\u00adsion sys\u00adtems for the needs of heavy trans\u00adport. The test\u00ading will com\u00adpare the ener\u00adgy con\u00adsump\u00adtion, func\u00adtion\u00adal\u00adi\u00adty and suit\u00adabil\u00adi\u00adty of hydro\u00adgen, elec\u00adtric and diesel-pow\u00adered heavy equip\u00adment for var\u00adi\u00adous trans\u00adport tasks. In addi\u00adtion, the vehi\u00adcle\u2019s key tech\u00adni\u00adcal char\u00adac\u00adter\u00adis\u00adtics, such as oper\u00adat\u00ading range and ener\u00adgy con\u00adsump\u00adtion, which direct\u00adly affect usabil\u00adi\u00adty and oper\u00ada\u00adtional effi\u00adcien\u00adcy, will be exam\u00adined. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The hydro\u00adgen truck will be inte\u00adgrat\u00aded into OSAO\u2019s learn\u00ading envi\u00adron\u00adments, where voca\u00adtion\u00adal edu\u00adca\u00adtion stu\u00addents and teach\u00aders will have the oppor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adty to work with new tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy in prac\u00adtice. The pro\u00adcure\u00adment sup\u00adports the broad\u00ader goal of build\u00ading a hydro\u00adgen econ\u00ado\u00admy com\u00adpe\u00adtence cen\u00adter in North\u00adern Fin\u00adland, where voca\u00adtion\u00adal edu\u00adca\u00adtion, research and busi\u00adness coop\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtion are close\u00adly linked. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addi\u00adtion to hydro\u00adgen tech\u00adnol\u00ado\u00adgy, the VISIOK project, co-fund\u00aded by the Euro\u00adpean Union, will devel\u00adop oth\u00ader sus\u00adtain\u00adable logis\u00adtics solu\u00adtions and dig\u00adi\u00adtal learn\u00ading envi\u00adron\u00adments. The project com\u00adbines research, edu\u00adca\u00adtion and prac\u00adti\u00adcal exper\u00adi\u00adments, and its goal is to meet the chang\u00ading skills needs of work\u00ading life. At the same time, the role of the Oulu region as a pio\u00adneer in the green tran\u00adsi\u00adtion and sup\u00adport Fin\u00adland\u2019s car\u00adbon neu\u00adtral\u00adi\u00adty goals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The project has been pre\u00adpared in col\u00adlab\u00ado\u00adra\u00adtion with the Oulu Inno\u00adva\u00adtion Alliance, and the City of Oulu is also a co-financier. The total bud\u00adget of the project is over 4 mil\u00adlion euros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
