On September 19th, a meeting titled “USA Market Opportunity Info, Defense, A-CX, SAM.gov” brought together representatives from various organizations, including the University of Oulu, technology companies, and BusinessOulu. Jussi Leponiemi,<\/strong> Key Account Director at Business Oulu, ICT Sector, kicked off the meeting by discussing Finland’s potential to play a significant role in international security and technology. He highlighted two key avenues: establishing a NATO Center of Excellence and expanding into the US market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NATO DIANA Finland: Opening Doors for Innovation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Hannu Nikurautio<\/strong>, Research Director at the University of Oulu’s 6G Flagship, presented the exciting opportunities offered by NATO DIANA Finland. This program provides valuable support for companies, including technology development and demonstration funding, mentoring for scientists, engineers, industry partners, end users, and government experts, a six-month training and mentoring package for startups entering the defense market, faster access to the NATO enterprise and 32 Allied markets, and many other opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nikurautio<\/strong> also discussed the 6G test center<\/strong> and its ongoing development. He emphasized NATO DIANA’s potential as a channel for new growth stories, opening a large market for Finnish companies with expertise in AI and 6G technologies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their company leverages expertise in product management, business development, and AI solutions to help businesses navigate the US government market through SAM.gov.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A-CX discussed the complexities of the US government procurement process, including certifications, bidding procedures, and relationship building. They emphasized the company’s expertise in AI solutions and experience working with government agencies. SAM.gov was presented as a crucial platform for accessing government contracts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
