Greet­ings from WindEn­er­gy Ham­burg 2024

Ham­burg — num­ber one meet­ing place of the inter­na­tion­al wind ener­gy indus­try

WindEn­er­gy Ham­burg is the world’s largest and impor­tant busi­ness plat­form for the wind indus­try actors. Held 24.9.–27.9. in Ham­burg, Ger­many, this event brings togeth­er key play­ers from the glob­al wind ener­gy sec­tor to exchange ideas, build net­works, and close sig­nif­i­cant deals. The event fea­tures over 1 400 exhibitors from around 40 coun­tries, show­cas­ing inno­va­tions and solu­tions in total of ten exhi­bi­tion halls. It also includes con­fer­ences and stages where indus­try lead­ers dis­cuss the lat­est trends and devel­op­ments in wind ener­gy. It’s a great oppor­tu­ni­ty for pro­fes­sion­als in the wind ener­gy sec­tor to con­nect and explore new oppor­tu­ni­ties.

Cov­er­ing 73,500 m² across the exhi­bi­tion cam­pus, equip­ment man­u­fac­tur­ers and sup­pli­ers rep­re­sent­ing all stages of the onshore and off­shore wind ener­gy val­ue chain pro­vide a com­pre­hen­sive overview of the mar­ket. The trade fair was accom­pa­nied by con­fer­ence ses­sions where top-rank­ing experts address the indus­try’s cur­rent key top­ics.

Nordic poten­tial 35–40% of EU needs

Oulu Region is among the top loca­tions to increase green elec­tric­i­ty pro­duc­tion in the EU and 40% of wind ener­gy in Fin­land is pro­duced here and the total Nordic poten­tial is up to 35–40% of EU needs. CleantechOulu oper­ates in Oulu region as an open ecosys­tem of com­pa­nies by pro­mot­ing coop­er­a­tion between com­pa­nies and con­nec­tions between com­pa­nies in the pub­lic sec­tor and research and devel­op­ment orga­ni­za­tions. Through our busi­ness ser­vices, orga­ni­za­tions can par­tic­i­pate in domes­tic and inter­na­tion­al export, trade fair and busi­ness events such as WindEn­er­gy Ham­burg 2024. Spe­cial thanks to the sup­port of BOIM project as Cleantech team was able to pro­vide mutu­al fair­ground to four local orga­ni­za­tions to show­case their inno­va­tions in glob­al set­ting. Link­ing CleantechOulu com­pa­nies to glob­al val­ue chains

The Busi­ness Oppor­tu­ni­ties for Inter­na­tion­al Mar­ket project (BOIM) is an EU-sup­port­ed inter­na­tion­al­iza­tion project for SMEs. The goal of the BOIM project is to find new inter­na­tion­al busi­ness oppor­tu­ni­ties for SMEs in the region and to help com­pa­nies find new inter­na­tion­al net­works and increase export trade and jobs in the region. The project is imple­ment­ed by Busi­nes­sOulu as part of inter­na­tion­al­iza­tion and export ser­vices. The financier of the project is the Fed­er­a­tion of Pohjois-Poh­jan­maan liit­to, which finances the project as part of the Renew­ing and Com­pe­tent Fin­land 2021–2027, the EU’s region­al and struc­tur­al pol­i­cy pro­gram, from the Euro­pean Region­al Devel­op­ment Fund (ERDF).
