Cir­cu­lar Clus­ter Oulu Award­ed Inter­na­tion­al Bronze-Lev­el Cer­ti­fi­ca­tion

Dur­ing this sum­mer, Cir­cu­lar Clus­ter Oulu received the inter­na­tion­al Bronze Label Cer­tifi­cate from the Euro­pean Clus­ter Excel­lence Ini­tia­tive. The cer­tifi­cate is grant­ed to clus­ters that have been eval­u­at­ed by an ESCA expert and meet the required eli­gi­bil­i­ty cri­te­ria. The joint cer­ti­fi­ca­tion process for both the Cir­cu­lar Econ­o­my Clus­ter and the Oulu Auto­mo­tive Clus­ter began in the begin­ning of this year and con­tin­ued through­out spring 2025.

In addi­tion to the cer­tifi­cate, the process includ­ed a report con­tain­ing devel­op­ment rec­om­men­da­tions that will help guide the cluster’s future improve­ments. These rec­om­men­da­tions are based not only on the cur­rent oper­a­tions, but also on a com­par­a­tive eval­u­a­tion of how oth­er clus­ters in the same field per­form and where they cur­rent­ly excel bet­ter.

Cir­cu­lar Clus­ter Oulu is fund­ed by the Auto­mo­tive & Cir­cu­lar Econ­o­my Clus­ters (ACE Clus­ters) project, which runs from Sep­tem­ber 1, 2023, to August 31, 2025. The project itself is financed by the Coun­cil of Oulu Region with co-fund­ing from the Euro­pean Union.
