What is Cir­cu­lar Clus­ter Oulu?

Cir­cu­lar Clus­ter Oulu dri­ves the growth of cir­cu­lar econ­o­my busi­ness­es in the Oulu region. We empow­er com­pa­nies to adopt sus­tain­able cir­cu­lar prac­tices, fos­ter col­lab­o­ra­tion between busi­ness­es and key stake­hold­ers, and accel­er­ate cir­cu­lar econ­o­my inno­va­tion. As an open ecosys­tem, we con­nect enter­pris­es with the pub­lic sec­tor and research insti­tu­tions, cre­at­ing syn­er­gies that advance sus­tain­abil­i­ty-dri­ven solu­tions.

We work close­ly with the Oulu Inno­va­tion Alliance (OIA) and a broad net­work of nation­al and inter­na­tion­al orga­ni­za­tions to dri­ve progress in the cir­cu­lar econ­o­my. Oulu’s strong ICT sec­tor pro­vides us with excep­tion­al oppor­tu­ni­ties to inte­grate cut­ting-edge dig­i­tal solu­tions into cir­cu­lar econ­o­my ini­tia­tives.

We help cir­cu­lar econ­o­my busi­ness­es con­nect with cus­tomers and oth­er part­ners through pre­sen­ta­tions, match­mak­ing events, pitch­es, and del­e­ga­tion or trade fair vis­its. We col­lab­o­rate with domes­tic and inter­na­tion­al devel­op­ment com­pa­nies, clus­ters, and oth­er key stake­hold­ers.

Auto­mo­tive & Cir­cu­lar Econ­o­my Clus­ters (ACE Clus­ters) project was run­ning from Sep­tem­ber 1, 2023, to August 31, 2025. The jour­ney of the Oulu Auto­mo­tive Clus­ter and Cir­cu­lar Clus­ter Oulu, which were the tar­gets of devel­op­ment, cul­mi­nat­ed in the award of inter­na­tion­al EUCLES bronze cer­tifi­cates. Dur­ing the project, the activ­i­ties, renown, and vis­i­bil­i­ty of both clus­ters were devel­oped both domes­ti­cal­ly and in inter­na­tion­al net­works.
