Oulu-Based Cleantech Com­pa­nies Fea­tured at FEM 2026 Min­ing Con­fer­ence

Levi, Lap­land – Octo­ber 2026. One of Europe’s most sig­nif­i­cant min­ing indus­try events, the Fennoscan­di­an Explo­ration and Min­ing (FEM) con­fer­ence, brought togeth­er experts, com­pa­nies, and deci­sion-mak­ers in Levi from Octo­ber 28–30, 2026. The event served as a unique plat­form for show­cas­ing the lat­est inno­va­tions in min­er­al explo­ration, min­ing, and sus­tain­able tech­nol­o­gy.

Busi­nes­sOulu and CleantechOulu par­tic­i­pat­ed in the event along­side four cleantech com­pa­nies from Oulu: Fil­tra­bit Oy, Fea­sib Oy, Nome Oy, and Prom­e­tec Tools Oy. These com­pa­nies rep­re­sent­ed north­ern exper­tise in indus­tri­al dig­i­tal­iza­tion, dust con­trol, mate­r­i­al mea­sure­ment, and process opti­miza­tion – all key themes from the per­spec­tive of sus­tain­able devel­op­ment in the min­ing indus­try.

Com­pa­nies Fea­tured at FEM Trade Fair:

• Fil­tra­bit presents its flow dynam­ics-based dust sep­a­ra­tion inno­va­tion, which improves indus­tri­al air qual­i­ty and reduces car­bon diox­ide emis­sions. The solu­tion is already in use at, for exam­ple, Outokumpu’s Tornio plant.

• Fea­sib Oy offers dig­i­tal tools spe­cial­ized in eval­u­at­ing the prof­itabil­i­ty of min­ing invest­ments and projects, sup­port­ing deci­sion-mak­ing and effi­cient resource use.

• Nome Oy devel­ops solu­tions for ana­lyz­ing geo­log­i­cal and geo­phys­i­cal data, enabling more accu­rate min­er­al plo­ration and resource map­ping.

• Prom­e­tec Tools Oy is known for its auto­mat­ic sam­pling and analy­sis sys­tems used in bio­mass and ore qual­i­ty con­trol.

FEM Con­fer­ence – An Inter­na­tion­al Meet­ing Point
The FEM con­fer­ence has been held since 1998 and has grown into one of Europe’s largest min­ing events. The 2025 edi­tion attract­ed over 1,200 par­tic­i­pants from 33 coun­tries and near­ly 400 orga­ni­za­tions. The con­fer­ence pro­gram includes high-lev­el expert pre­sen­ta­tions, short cours­es, mine excur­sions, and a large exhi­bi­tion area where com­pa­nies show­case their prod­ucts and ser­vices. The event offers excel­lent oppor­tu­ni­ties for net­work­ing, form­ing new part­ner­ships, and fol­low­ing indus­try devel­op­ments. The par­tic­i­pa­tion of CleantechOulu and Busi­nes­sOulu sup­ports the inter­na­tion­al­iza­tion and vis­i­bil­i­ty of Oulu-based com­pa­nies with­in the glob­al min­ing ecosys­tem.
