What is Cir­cu­lar Clus­ter Oulu?

Cir­cu­lar Clus­ter Oulu dri­ves the growth of cir­cu­lar econ­o­my busi­ness­es in the Oulu region. We empow­er com­pa­nies to adopt sus­tain­able cir­cu­lar prac­tices, fos­ter col­lab­o­ra­tion between busi­ness­es and key stake­hold­ers, and accel­er­ate cir­cu­lar econ­o­my inno­va­tion. As an open ecosys­tem, we con­nect enter­pris­es with the pub­lic sec­tor and research insti­tu­tions, cre­at­ing syn­er­gies that advance sus­tain­abil­i­ty-dri­ven solu­tions.

We work close­ly with the Oulu Inno­va­tion Alliance (OIA) and a broad net­work of nation­al and inter­na­tion­al orga­ni­za­tions to dri­ve progress in the cir­cu­lar econ­o­my. Oulu’s strong ICT sec­tor pro­vides us with excep­tion­al oppor­tu­ni­ties to inte­grate cut­ting-edge dig­i­tal solu­tions into cir­cu­lar econ­o­my ini­tia­tives.

Circu­lar Clus­ter Oulu is fund­ed by the Auto­mo­tive and Cir­cu­lar Econ­o­my Clus­ters (ACE Clus­ters) pro­gramme, which is fund­ed by Pohjois-Poh­jan­maan liit­to — Coun­cil of Oulu Region — with co-financ­ing from the Euro­pean Union.

We help cir­cu­lar econ­o­my busi­ness­es con­nect with cus­tomers and oth­er part­ners through pre­sen­ta­tions, match­mak­ing events, pitch­es, and del­e­ga­tion or trade fair vis­its. We col­lab­o­rate with domes­tic and inter­na­tion­al devel­op­ment com­pa­nies, clus­ters, and oth­er key stake­hold­ers.

Match with each oth­er

We con­nect busi­ness­es with each oth­er and research insti­tu­tions to accel­er­ate cir­cu­lar econ­o­my devel­op­ment and dri­ve new inno­va­tions. By link­ing R&D ini­tia­tives with com­pa­nies, we strength­en the bond between busi­ness and research.

Share knowl­edge and exper­tise

We pro­vide valu­able insights on the cir­cu­lar econ­o­my, includ­ing busi­ness news, leg­isla­tive updates, fund­ing oppor­tu­ni­ties, poten­tial part­ner­ships, and best prac­tices. Togeth­er with our part­ners, we host meet­ings and events to fos­ter col­lab­o­ra­tion and knowl­edge exchange.

Auto­mo­tive & Cir­cu­lar Econ­o­my Clus­ters (ACE Clus­ters) Project

The Cir­cu­lar Clus­ter Oulu is part of the Auto­mo­tive & Cir­cu­lar Econ­o­my Clus­ters (ACE Clus­ters) project, run­ning from Sep­tem­ber 1, 2023, to August 31, 2025. The project is fund­ed by the Coun­cil of Oulu Region with par­tial financ­ing from the EU. The pro­jec­t’s goal is to fur­ther devel­op the Cir­cu­lar Econ­o­my Clus­ter and the Oulu Auto­mo­tive Clus­ter, increas­ing the added val­ue they pro­vide to their mem­bers and encour­ag­ing com­pa­nies to engage more close­ly in clus­ter activ­i­ties.
