Would you like to pro­mote Oulu, devel­op your skills, build a strong pro­fes­sion­al net­work, and help oth­er inter­na­tion­al res­i­dents dis­cov­er the oppor­tu­ni­ties avail­able to them in Oulu?

At Inter­na­tion­al House Oulu, we want Oulu to be an inter­na­tion­al­ly attrac­tive place to live, work, study, con­duct research, and invest in. We are look­ing for peo­ple who share this vision and want to help us pro­mote Oulu as an inter­na­tion­al city while also rais­ing aware­ness of Inter­na­tion­al House Oulu’s ser­vices, events, and oppor­tu­ni­ties among the inter­na­tion­al com­mu­ni­ty in Oulu.

Become an IH Oulu Ambas­sador

Our Ambas­sador Pro­gramme is open to inter­na­tion­al employ­ees, researchers, stu­dents, and recent grad­u­ates liv­ing in Oulu. We will select four ambas­sadors who will help us show­case what it is like to live, work, and study in Oulu, both local­ly and to peo­ple around the world.

As an ambas­sador, you will have the oppor­tu­ni­ty to devel­op your com­mu­ni­ca­tion and net­work­ing skills, expand your pro­fes­sion­al net­work, and share your experiences of life in Oulu. You will also play an impor­tant role in mak­ing Inter­na­tion­al House Oulu and its ser­vices, events, and oppor­tu­ni­ties bet­ter known among inter­na­tion­al res­i­dents in Oulu.

Four ambas­sadors will start in Jan­u­ary 2027, and the pro­gramme will run until the end of Decem­ber.

Who are we look­ing for?

• You are an inter­na­tion­al per­son liv­ing in Oulu.
• You have lived in Oulu for at least one year and plan to stay for at least one more year.
• You are inter­est­ed in blog­ging, vlog­ging, cre­at­ing social media con­tent, and orga­niz­ing social events.
• You are out­go­ing, enjoy life in Oulu, and are eager to share your experiences and pro­mote the city.
• You are inter­est­ed in con­nect­ing with the inter­na­tion­al com­mu­ni­ty in Oulu and help­ing oth­ers dis­cov­er Inter­na­tion­al House Oulu’s ser­vices and oppor­tu­ni­ties.

What will your tasks be?

Your main task is to rep­re­sent and pro­mote both Oulu and Inter­na­tion­al House Oulu through events, online con­tent, and social media. You will share your own experiences of Oulu while also help­ing us reach inter­na­tion­al res­i­dents and raise aware­ness of the ser­vices, events, and oppor­tu­ni­ties avail­able through Inter­na­tion­al House Oulu.

Dur­ing the pro­gramme, each ambas­sador will con­tribute:

• 1 event vis­it
• 1 blog post for our web­site
• 3 social media posts

Rewards

You will receive a €100 gift card as a reward for your con­tri­bu­tion to the pro­gramme.
