Board Games & Net­work­ing: North­ern Lights Edi­tion

Our pop­u­lar Board Games & Net­work­ing is here in Octo­ber! This time, we’re excit­ed to wel­come North­ern Lights enthu­si­ast — Jari Aikio.

The North­ern Lights, also know as ‘auro­ra’ or in Finnish, ‘revon­tulet’, is a nat­ur­al light dis­play caused by the inter­ac­tion between charged par­ti­cles from the sun and Earth­’s mag­net­ic field, cre­at­ing shim­mer­ing waves of green, pink, and vio­let light that dance across the polar skies.

Long-time North­ern Lights enthu­si­ast and pho­tog­ra­ph­er, Jari Aikio, will talk about the North­ern Lights at our Octo­ber Board Game event. Jari is the admin­is­tra­tor of the ‘Oulu Auro­ra Spot­ters’ Face­book group and a long-time pho­tog­ra­ph­er of the North­ern Lights.

At our event, Jari will give tips on pho­tog­ra­phy and tell us about the best places to view the North­ern Lights in the Oulu region.
