Oulu for All: Anti-dis­crim­i­na­tion Forum

In ear­ly 2025, the City of Oulu launched its Anti-Racism Action Plan, with the aim to build a more equi­table and inclu­sive com­mu­ni­ty in Oulu. The plan is being imple­ment­ed through the Oulu for All project, which active­ly pro­motes diver­si­ty and encour­ages inter­ac­tion among dif­fer­ent pop­u­la­tion groups.

This event con­tin­ues the work of the anti-dis­crim­i­na­tion forum held in the spring. The event is orga­nized in coop­er­a­tion with Start­up Refugees’ Diverse Oulu project, which sup­ports equal­i­ty in work­ing life and offers solu­tions for the employ­ment of inter­na­tion­al pro­fes­sion­als and the devel­op­ment of diver­si­ty in
com­pa­nies.

Theme of the event:

Sup­port­ing employ­ers and work­places in employ­ing peo­ple from diverse back­grounds and help­ing them suc­ceed in their pro­fes­sion­al roles. In addi­tion to employ­ers and employ­ees, the May­or of Oulu, oth­er senior offi­cials of the City of Oulu and mem­bers of the anti-dis­crim­i­na­tion forum will be present.

We warm­ly wel­come par­tic­i­pa­tion also from all oth­ers who are inter­est­ed in join­ing the con­ver­sa­tion.

The evening will fea­ture talks, a work­shop, live­ly dis­cus­sions and light refresh­ments.

The event fol­lows the City of Oulu’s Safer and Bold­er Space prin­ci­ples.
