Oulu for All: Join the Discussion on Supporting the Victims of Racism in Oulu
The Oulu for All project, together with International House Oulu, is organising a hearing for foreign language speakers and immigrants. You are warmly welcome to the Oulu for All project’s hearing on 13.8.2025 at 16:00.
Participating in this hearing gives you an excellent opportunity to make an impact on the development of the upcoming support centre for the victims of racism in Oulu. You will be able to share your suggestions and have your concerns heard.
During the event, the model of the future support centre for the victims of racism will be presented and there will be a chance to hear participants’ thoughts and views on the needs of people who have experienced racism. The discussion will take place in Finnish and in English.
The Oulu for All project implements the anti-racism action plan approved by the Oulu City Council in spring 2025. It aims to identify, prevent and combat racism in all its forms, support victims of racism and increase interaction and trust between different population groups in Oulu.
The project’s measures include increasing positive interaction between different population groups and establishing an anti-racism support centre in Oulu. The helpdesk will assist Oulu residents who have experienced racism and discrimination.
- The event is held on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, from 16:00 to 18:00.
