IH Oulu in net­work­ing

IH Oulu is active in oper­at­ing on the net­work­ing lev­el, which is one of our main pur­pos­es. We main­tain and par­tic­i­pate in sev­er­al net­works in terms of inte­gra­tion, inter­na­tion­al tal­ents, inter­na­tion­al stu­dents and co-oper­a­tion with com­pa­nies.

In this arti­cle, we will go through some of the ways we car­ry out the net­work­ing mis­sion.

Ouluko­to

We main­tain the Ouluko­to pages to give a space for ser­vices direct­ed to immi­grants accord­ing to tar­get groups. The site is only used by pro­fes­sion­als. There are also upcom­ing events pro­mot­ed there both for pro­fes­sion­als and cus­tomers. It is up to the organ­i­sa­tions to write the relat­ed infor­ma­tion on the pages and keep them updat­ed.

Do you have immi­grants as cus­tomers in terms of giv­ing guid­ance? Do you organ­ise activ­i­ties or events for them? You’re wel­come to join in. You can con­tact Riku­pekka Leinonen by email (rikupekka.leinonen@ouka.fi) and we will add your infor­ma­tion on the pages of Ouluko­to.

Han­ke­myl­ly

In every six months, Inter­na­tion­al House Oulu organ­is­es an event called Han­ke­myl­ly, the pur­pose of which is to enable peo­ple work­ing for var­i­ous projects direct­ed for immi­grants to tell oth­er pro­fes­sion­als about their ser­vices.

Equal­ly, there’s an oppor­tu­ni­ty to learn about the var­i­ous project finance providers. When there is reg­is­tra­tion for the event avail­able, we adver­tise it on our web­page and social media chan­nels. You are wel­come to find out about new things and to join in net­work­ing.

Stands and events

We are hap­py to par­tic­i­pate in free-of charge events to present the activ­i­ties we can offer. You can either invite us to do pre­sen­ta­tions for tar­get groups or ask us to put up a stand of our own. If you have a request for coop­er­a­tion, please send them to ihoulu@ouka.fi.

We are also look­ing for excit­ing sto­ries and experiences of inter­na­tion­al nature that have tak­en place in Oulu. If you recog­nise an inter­na­tion­al per­son, a com­pa­ny or a com­mu­ni­ty with a pro inter­na­tion­al mind­set that you think would make an inspir­ing sto­ry to share, do inform us of them. On our chan­nels, we are always keen on giv­ing space to local peo­ple that are active on the inter­na­tion­al lev­el.
