Oulu Is Now Look­ing for the Inter­na­tion­al Employ­er of the Year

Do you know an Oulu-based com­pa­ny or orga­ni­za­tion that has excelled in recruit­ing, onboard­ing, and retain­ing inter­na­tion­al tal­ent?

The goal of the Oulu’s Most Inter­na­tion­al Employ­er 2026 com­pe­ti­tion is to high­light employ­ers’ suc­cess sto­ries and encour­age more orga­ni­za­tions to build an open cul­ture and recruit inter­na­tion­al pro­fes­sion­als, who play an impor­tant role in the future eco­nom­ic growth of the Oulu region.

Any­one is free to nom­i­nate a com­pa­ny or orga­ni­za­tion from Oulu that has active­ly invest­ed in build­ing an open and diverse work com­mu­ni­ty and has suc­cess­ful­ly sup­port­ed mul­ti­cul­tur­al work­ing cul­ture.

Last year’s win­ner was the soft­ware com­pa­ny Visidon Oy. In the jury’s deci­sion, par­tic­u­lar empha­sis was placed on the suc­cess­ful inte­gra­tion of inter­na­tion­al employ­ees, equal­i­ty, and the Nights of Cul­ture tra­di­tion, where employ­ees can present their own cul­ture to the work com­mu­ni­ty. The company’s offi­cial work­ing lan­guage is Eng­lish.

The com­pe­ti­tion is orga­nized in coop­er­a­tion with the Junior Cham­ber Inter­na­tion­al Oulu, the Junior Cham­ber Inter­na­tion­al Tar Val­ley Oulu, and the Oulu Cham­ber of Com­merce. The win­ner will also be nom­i­nat­ed for the nation­al com­pe­ti­tion of the Junior Cham­ber Inter­na­tion­al Fin­land, which will take place in spring 2027.

The par­tic­i­pa­tion peri­od is open till 20 Sep­tem­ber 2026.
