You don’t want to miss this. Inter­na­tion­al House Oulu, and Opti­mum col­lab­o­rate in April to offer three Eng­lish speak­ing job hunt­ing train­ing ses­sions in Oulu.

Our on-site events at Oulu City Hall are designed espe­cial­ly for pro­fes­sion­als and uni­ver­si­ty stu­dents who are look­ing to boost their job search­ing in the Oulu area. Our train­er in these ses­sions is Herizon’s Viivi Mart­ti­nen.

Job Hunt­ing Tril­o­gy I – Find­ing Hid­den Jobs in Your Area

• In this inter­ac­tive on-site ses­sion, we get famil­iar with the hid­den job mar­ket in Fin­land, start­ing from why it’s such a preva­lent hir­ing chan­nel in the first place and then con­tin­u­ing into explor­ing prac­ti­cal ways of build­ing your approach to get­ting more out of your search and con­tact­ing efforts when open roles are sim­ply not there.
  At the end of this ses­sion, you’ll have a bet­ter under­stand­ing of the Finnish silent job mar­ket and action­able strate­gies to find and approach rel­e­vant com­pa­nies.

Job Hunt­ing Tril­o­gy II – The Key Sec­tions in Your LinkedIn Pro­file

• In this inter­ac­tive on-site ses­sion, we take a deep dive into build­ing your LinkedIn pro­file to sup­port your job search efforts both from dis­cov­er­abil­i­ty and net­work­ing point of view. Pre­pare to do a full audit of your LinkedIn pro­file togeth­er. We’ll use tem­plates that help you build, adjust and opti­mize all key sec­tions of your pro­file and beyond.
  At the end of this ses­sion, you’ll have a LinkedIn pro­file that’s opti­mized for your tar­get role, includ­ing a pol­ished head­line, about sec­tion, and expe­ri­ence sec­tion.

Job Hunt­ing Tril­o­gy III – Tar­get­ing Your Skills and Com­pe­ten­cies

• In this inter­ac­tive live ses­sion, we opti­mize your CV and cov­er let­ter to bring you bet­ter results from open posi­tions you’re apply­ing for. We’ll go through dif­fer­ent tem­plates, the strengths and weak­ness­es of each, and build you doc­u­ments that are both opti­mized key­word and impact-wise for your tar­get role and show­case your strengths and pas­sions as a pro­fes­sion­al. Bring a job descrip­tion you’re plan­ning on apply­ing for or have recent­ly applied for with you to get the most out of this ses­sion.
  At the end of this ses­sion, you’ll have an opti­mized CV and cov­er let­ter to apply with a rel­e­vant role.
