The World of Work — Succeed in the Finnish Job Market
Are you looking to improve your chances in the Finnish job market? You can now join a two-part Employability Skills Training designed to help you build practical skills, understand workplace expectations, and gain confidence when pursuing job opportunities in Finland.
This two-part training provides a comprehensive introduction to working in Finland. During the two sessions, you will learn essential employability skills and gain key knowledge about workplace practices, rules, and rights. The programme combines practical guidance with real-world insights to support your professional development.
Both sessions have a limited number of on-site places, so early registration is recommended. You can also participate online, if you prefer it. Participants who attend both sessions will receive a certificate upon completion.
What will you learn in the sessions
Session 1 — Employability Skills (9 June, 12 noon — 4 p.m.)
- How to present yourself effectively to employers
- Communication skills for the Finnish working world
- Practical tips for navigating the job market
- Interactive exercises to build confidence and employability skills

Session 2 — Foundations of Fair Work (16 June, 8.30 a.m. — 12 p.m.)
- Employer and employee roles in Finland
- Key workplace rules and responsibilities
- Understanding your rights as an employee
- Insights based on real-life experiences
Key speakers: Silja Hyrkäs and Anna Litewka-Anttolainen
