Cyber Security Nordic Competition is open

ICT companies within Oulu that specialise in cyber security have the opportunity to enter their cutting-edge solutions into a competition at this year’s Cyber Security Nordic trade fair, which highlights top national performers in this field. The winner will be rewarded with a €10,000 prize, donated by the Finnish Fair Foundation.

What is Cyber Security Nordic?

Cyber Security Nordic is an event that is taking place for the fifth time between the 7th-8th November at Messukeskus Helsinki. They gather all the relevant big industry players, with presentations/discussion points from both the business economy and public administration perspectives.

What is the criteria?

Organised by Cyber Security Nordic, in collaboration with the Finnish Information Security Cluster (FISC), this competition is open to a cyber security company, team or organisation, operating and registered in Finland, that meets one or more of the following criteria:

  • The innovative solution or service supports the United Nation’s (UN) sustainable development goals, such as those related to economic growth (for example, the protection of intellectual capital or trade secrets), digital industry and transition, the protection of fundamental rights, or urbanisation.
  • The product promotes a responsible digitalization, data processing and trust.
  • The innovative solution or service has the potential to create an international, European, or global impact.
  • The innovative solution or service strengthens the competitiveness and profitability of Finnish companies and/or the appeal of Finland as a business environment.

Products and services submitted to the competition must be on the market and available for sale in 2023.

How can my company enter?

Companies must fill out an online application form by Sunday 24th September.

What happens next?

The jury will select the finalists, in particular paying attention to the potential impact and scalability of entries.

Finalists will be invited to present their product or service in a pitch competition on the Cyber Security Nordic main stage on 7th November 2023, from which a winner will be chosen.
