TietoKaira produces expert solutions to challenges and needs in knowledge management of healthcare organizations. The business is based on strong know-how and wide experience in healthcare area. TietoKaira's main focus can be summarized in developing data analytics and data structures to help customers to make wise decisions.

There is masses of data in healthcare systems but only a small piece of it is really in secondary use. We know deeply most of the Finnish EHRs and we can integrate data from many databases so that users - for example healthcare professionals and management - have an unified view into essential information.

We have built physical data warehouses in healthcare and many BI applications over them. For example applications for diabetes care quality, follow-up of productivity in hospital, ongoing analysis about costs of different patient groups in primary and secondary care. The most familiar tools for us are SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Qlik, R, Power BI and Azure.

In addition to healthcare organization TietoKaira participates frequently in medical studies, for example diabetes and prediabetes study with the University of Turku.

Today we are focusing on logical data warehouse/fabric concept and real time use of raw data in operative management. We are also building ML models to predict risk of morbidities in prediabetic and diabetic people.
