Following on from their first event earlier in the autumn, the HAiLife project from University of Oulu will have their next expert webinar on Friday 2nd December from 9am to 10:30am.
Please note that this event is held in Finnish.
Human data and artificial intelligence as ingredients for business
- How can open-text data be mined to support decision-making?
- Will the recognition of speech emotions become the next growth driver of the artificial intelligence market?
This webinar gives the audience the opportunity to hear examples of the possibilities of using humanities data in business.
Keynote 1: Situation pictures and simulations based on open text data to support decision-making
Entrepreneur and researcher Harri Ketamo has 20 years of experience in cognitive sciences, artificial intelligence, adaptive systems and game development. His company HeadAI develops semantic artificial intelligence for transparent decision-making. Ketamo has held more than 300 presentations, published more than 100 peer-reviewed research articles, and developed products used in more than 120 countries worldwide.
Keynote 2: Recognition of speech emotions – can artificial intelligence detect aggression in speech and call for help?
PhD Laura Laaksonen is the Lead Data Scientist at Loihde AI. She has 20 years of experience in audio and sensor product development in consumer electronics, especially in applying speech processing and machine learning models in algorithm development.
LoihdeAI’s Seppo Nyrkkö is a data scientist and doctoral researcher in language technology from the University of Helsinki. Seppo studies the machine processing of linguistic expressions with the help of artificial intelligence and structural conceptual models and considers the interaction between people and machines in everyday life.
