Dr. Miia Turpeinen

Dr. Miia Turpeinen (MD, PhD, eMBA) is the Hos­pi­tal Direc­tor of Oulu Uni­ver­si­ty Hos­pi­tal and Pro­fes­sor of Clin­i­cal Phar­ma­col­o­gy and Phar­ma­cother­a­py at Uni­ver­si­ty of Oulu.

Prof. Turpeinen has over 100 orig­i­nal arti­cles in sci­en­tif­ic jour­nals, main­ly on var­i­ous aspects of drug devel­op­ment, phar­ma­covig­i­lance and val­ue in health­care. She holds sev­er­al exec­u­tive posi­tions and respon­si­bil­i­ties in both sci­en­tif­ic and admin­is­tra­tive health pol­i­cy forums in Fin­land and inter­na­tion­al­ly. Her spare time inter­ests include for­est man­age­ment, Welsh Cardi­gan Cor­gis and activ­i­ties in sci­en­tif­ic and pro­fes­sion­al soci­eties.

Oulu Uni­ver­si­ty Hos­pi­tal (OYS) is the lead­ing cen­tre for spe­cialised health­care, research, and edu­ca­tion in north­ern Fin­land.
