Dr. Minna Komu (PhD in Med Bc, MSc in Econs and BA) is a dedicated health & life science business professional with a strong scientific foundation and a passion for entrepreneurship. She currently leads the operations of OYSTER Incubator for health and life science startups, supporting early-stage innovation and commercialization in the field.
Dr. Komu also serves as Network Director of OuluHealth, where she is responsible for ecosystem strategy, strategic partnerships, collaboration initiatives, and international outreach focused on health and life sciences. Her work emphasizes building bridges between stakeholders from academia, business, and healthcare, both nationally and internationally.
In addition Minna has a solid background as an entrepreneur. She has been working as an entrepreneur and partner in health & life science sector and is also founder/co-founder in three other companies across different industries. Her heart beats for entrepreneurship, and she brings this passion into everything she does — from mentoring startups to developing innovation-driven ecosystems. With a strong experience in business development, internationalization, and innovation management, Dr. Komu is deeply committed to enabling growth in health technology, digital health, and medical devices.
