Dr. Min­na Komu (PhD in Med Bc, MSc in Econs and BA) is a ded­i­cat­ed health & life sci­ence busi­ness pro­fes­sion­al with a strong sci­en­tif­ic foun­da­tion and a pas­sion for entre­pre­neur­ship. She cur­rent­ly leads the oper­a­tions of OYSTER Incu­ba­tor for health and life sci­ence star­tups, sup­port­ing ear­ly-stage inno­va­tion and com­mer­cial­iza­tion in the field.

Dr. Komu also serves as Net­work Direc­tor of OuluHealth, where she is respon­si­ble for ecosys­tem strat­e­gy, strate­gic part­ner­ships, col­lab­o­ra­tion ini­tia­tives, and inter­na­tion­al out­reach focused on health and life sci­ences. Her work empha­sizes build­ing bridges between stake­hold­ers from acad­e­mia, busi­ness, and health­care, both nation­al­ly and inter­na­tion­al­ly.

In addi­tion Min­na has a sol­id back­ground as an entre­pre­neur. She has been work­ing as an entre­pre­neur and part­ner in health & life sci­ence sec­tor and is also founder/­co-founder in three oth­er com­pa­nies across dif­fer­ent indus­tries. Her heart beats for entre­pre­neur­ship, and she brings this pas­sion into every­thing she does — from men­tor­ing star­tups to devel­op­ing inno­va­tion-dri­ven ecosys­tems. With a strong expe­ri­ence in busi­ness devel­op­ment, inter­na­tion­al­iza­tion, and inno­va­tion man­age­ment, Dr. Komu is deeply com­mit­ted to enabling growth in health tech­nol­o­gy, dig­i­tal health, and med­ical devices. Her work con­sis­tent­ly focus­es on iden­ti­fy­ing new busi­ness oppor­tu­ni­ties, fos­ter­ing col­lab­o­ra­tion, and ensur­ing that cus­tomer and user per­spec­tives are embed­ded in devel­op­ment process­es.
