Dr. Noo­ra Jans­son

Noo­ra Jans­son is a Direc­tor of Research and Inno­va­tion at the Oulu Uni­ver­si­ty of Applied Sci­ences (OUAS). Her aca­d­e­m­ic back­ground is in man­age­ment, focus­ing espe­cial­ly on strat­e­gy and orga­ni­za­tion­al change. Her main respon­si­bil­i­ty in OUAS is the lead­er­ship of research, devel­op­ment and inno­va­tion work (RDI).

The OUAS RDI work helps the Oulu region and the entire­ty of north­ern Fin­land thrive. Through research, devel­op­ment, and inno­va­tion activ­i­ties, OUAS refines exper­tise and inno­va­tions that enhance the region’s com­pet­i­tive­ness. In recent years, OUAS has focused in par­tic­u­lar on areas such as autonomous work machine tech­nolo­gies, drone tech­nolo­gies, and cul­tur­al pro­duc­tions through dig­i­tal means. OUAS RDI work is inte­grat­ed into edu­ca­tion and learn­ing and is con­duct­ed in close col­lab­o­ra­tion with busi­ness­es.
