Oulu Unlocked – Com­pe­ti­tion Rules

The City of Oulu (the “organ­is­er”) runs a com­pe­ti­tion for high­er edu­ca­tion stu­dents from 1–4 Decem­ber 2025.

Gen­er­al

The com­pe­ti­tion is organ­ised by the City of Oulu, vis­it­ing address: Oulu10, Torikatu 10 (Busi­ness ID: 0187690–1).
The com­pe­ti­tion takes place 1–4 Decem­ber 2025.

The com­pe­ti­tion is part of the Opiske­li­jan Oulu work­ing group’s activ­i­ties. By tak­ing part, you accept these rules.

Par­tic­i­pants agree that the organ­is­er may pub­lish the win­ners’ names and pho­tos on the organiser’s web­site and/or social media chan­nels with­out sep­a­rate con­sent, notice or com­pen­sa­tion.

The organ­is­er reserves the right to make changes dur­ing the cam­paign

Tar­get group and eli­gi­bil­i­ty

The com­pe­ti­tion is aimed at high­er edu­ca­tion stu­dents in Oulu.

All high­er edu­ca­tion stu­dents enrolled at their insti­tu­tion dur­ing the com­pe­ti­tion peri­od may take part.

Peo­ple who have tak­en part in plan­ning or imple­ment­ing the com­pe­ti­tion are not eli­gi­ble.

Com­pe­ti­tion peri­od

From 1 Decem­ber 2025 at 08:00 to 4 Decem­ber 2025 at 18:00.

Entries out­side this peri­od are not pos­si­ble.

Nature of the com­pe­ti­tion and how to par­tic­i­pate

This is a action-based com­pe­ti­tion. Win­ners are those who find and claim the prizes fastest using the clues. Prize redemp­tion is not ran­dom.

Par­tic­i­pa­tion is as fol­lows:

• The par­tic­i­pant solves an open clue pub­lished on the cam­paign page.
• The par­tic­i­pant goes in per­son to the prize pick-up loca­tion, shows their stu­dent card and gives the keyword/answer to the clue.
• The prize is hand­ed over if prizes are still avail­able. Prizes are dis­trib­uted while stocks last and with­in the time win­dows stat­ed on the cam­paign page.

Par­tic­i­pa­tion is free of charge and does not require the pur­chase of any prod­uct or ser­vice.

Prizes in the com­pe­ti­tion are pro­vid­ed by the fol­low­ing par­ties:

Organiser’s lia­bil­i­ty

The organ­is­er is not respon­si­ble for:

• updat­ing or con­nec­tion issues caused by tech­ni­cal rea­sons,
• pos­si­ble print­ing, spelling or tech­ni­cal errors in the com­pe­ti­tion mate­ri­als,
• ser­vices or prod­ucts offered by third par­ties that are con­nect­ed to the prizes.
  

Par­tic­i­pants release the organ­is­er and its part­ners from lia­bil­i­ty for any dam­age caused by, or claimed to have been caused by, par­tic­i­pa­tion in this com­pe­ti­tion.

Changes to the rules and sus­pen­sion of the com­pe­ti­tion

The organ­is­er reserves the right to change the rules or sus­pend the com­pe­ti­tion for a jus­ti­fied rea­son (for exam­ple a tech­ni­cal prob­lem, mis­use or an unex­pect­ed obsta­cle), pro­vid­ed that the change does not mate­ri­al­ly weak­en the posi­tion of par­tic­i­pants.
Sig­nif­i­cant changes will be announced on the cam­paign page.
