Pos­i­tive steps for­ward – invest in Zeni­it­ti

Zeni­it­ti is a huge future invest­ment from Kem­pele munic­i­pal­i­ty. The size of the Zeni­it­ti recre­ation area under con­struc­tion near the bor­der between Kem­pele and Oulu is over 100 hectares. Aurinko­järvi, a clear­wa­ter lake land­scaped in an old quar­ry is the cen­tral attrac­tion in the area. The area sur­round­ing the lake will have plots for hol­i­day homes, sauna and aqua­park activ­i­ties, event and camp­ing areas, sports activ­i­ties and shops to sup­port tourism, to name a few.

The Zeni­it­ti area is built around sev­en dif­fer­ent themes. The busi­ness and event areas are locat­ed in the north­ern part of Zeni­it­ti next to the motor­way. They have excel­lent access straight from the motor­way. The hol­i­day home and car­a­van areas are built on the lakeshore. These accom­mo­da­tion plots are bor­dered by tran­quil for­est and marsh scenery. The south side of the lake is focused on sports activ­i­ties, and the areas of tra­di­tion­al hous­ing spread out to the east side of the lake, con­nect­ing to the Lin­nakan­gas res­i­den­tial area.

The area is sur­round­ed by a superb net­work of recre­ation­al trails for cycling, snow­mo­bile rid­ing and ski­ing. The Zeni­it­ti area is locat­ed by Route 4, 15 min­utes from Oulu Air­port, 10 min­utes from Oulu cen­tre and 8 min­utes from Kem­pele cen­tre and rail­way sta­tion.

Invit­ing Zeni­it­ti – activ­i­ties and ser­vices for all sea­sons

An event area for 40,000 peo­ple has been planned to Zeni­it­ti. The area already has the Kem­pele Areena, and the Kun­to­mo gym with near­by plots for sports halls and accom­pa­ny­ing accom­mo­da­tion.

Next to the Aurinko­järvi beach, there’s a plot with 5,000 m² per­mit­ted build­ing vol­ume for the main build­ing of the beach. There are also plots at the water­side for small­er ser­vice build­ings, such as beach restau­rant, sauna and aqua­park ser­vice build­ing and chang­ing rooms. The area has 76 hol­i­day home plots and 6,000 m² per­mit­ted build­ing vol­ume for a hotel and 2,600 m² for apart­ment-type accom­mo­da­tion.

Fur­ther­more, Zeni­it­ti has a car­a­van area and a plot for enter­tain­ment and amuse­ment ser­vices in a cen­tral loca­tion near Aurinko­järvi. An S‑Market shop and fuel dis­tri­b­u­tion point will be built to the north­west cor­ner of the area. Let­ters of intent about locat­ing to the area have been signed with 20 com­pa­nies.
