Oulu Inter­na­tion­al Women’s Club

Oulu Inter­na­tion­al Women’s Club is a club for the inter­na­tion­al women liv­ing in the Oulu area.

They usu­al­ly meet once or twice a month, to hang-out, swap gos­sip, see things and net­work. Activ­i­ties range from hik­ing (in sum­mer and win­ter), sip­ping cof­fee, going to the local pub to lis­ten to music and drink Finnish beer (yuck), make-up and hair evenings, sum­mer pic­nics, win­ter ski­ing trips, the list is end­less!

Entre­Com

Entre­com Enter­prise Com­mu­ni­ty cre­ates a local net­work and com­mu­ni­ty for non-cap­i­tal regions of Fin­land. Entre#Oulu project focus­es on com­mu­ni­ty build­ing for the North­ern Ostro­both­nia region.

Entre­Com is a sup­port­ive inter­na­tion­al com­mu­ni­ty of peo­ple who nev­er stop learn­ing. They focus on help­ing with inter­na­tion­al tal­ents’ employ­ment and self-employ­ment regard­less of their nation­al­i­ty.

Motio

The goal of Motio project is to guide unem­ployed peo­ple liv­ing in Oulu and peo­ple out­side the work­ing life to work and study. Their team assists, among oth­er things, in mak­ing CVs and job appli­ca­tions, as well as in job search­es.

Their ser­vices are free of charge and cur­rent­ly avail­able in Eng­lish, Finnish and Ara­bic. Meet­ings are arranged in advance by email or phone (call or What­sApp). Vis­it­ing address is Isokatu 56.

Start­up Refugees

“We exist because the solu­tion for the fast inte­gra­tion of new­com­ers to the labour mar­kets needs to be cre­at­ed now.” Start­up Refugees is a social inno­va­tion found­ed in Fin­land. Togeth­er with a net­work of more than 1000 mem­bers, they offer asy­lum seek­ers, refugees and immi­grants sup­port in employ­ment and entre­pre­neur­ship.
