Inter­na­tion­al-stan­dard mul­ti-pur­pose are­na

A mod­ern mul­ti-pur­pose are­na is being built in the Oulu sta­tion area, pro­vid­ing excel­lent facil­i­ties for sports events, con­certs, fairs, and oth­er events. The new Expe­ri­ence Are­na will bring inter­na­tion­al-lev­el sports, cul­ture, and con­fer­ence events with­in reach for all of North­ern Fin­land, while its prime loca­tion will also attract inter­est from north­ern Swe­den and Nor­way. The Expe­ri­ence Are­na is set to be com­plet­ed in 2029.

Ten­der­ing process ongo­ing

The Expe­ri­ence Are­na is Oulu’s most sig­nif­i­cant urban devel­op­ment project in decades, and the city is strong­ly com­mit­ted to its real­iza­tion. The are­na is cur­rent­ly seek­ing part­ners as well as an imple­men­ta­tion and busi­ness mod­el. The ten­der­ing process includes skilled teams, with expe­ri­ence in deliv­er­ing sim­i­lar large projects, as well as expert part­ners. The win­ner of the ten­der will be announced in the spring of 2025.
