Vir­pinie­mi is one of Fin­land’s most well-known year-round sports and well­ness cen­ters. For decades, it has ener­gized every­day exer­cis­ers, invit­ed peo­ple to relax in the tran­quil­i­ty of nature, and trained ath­letes to peak per­for­mance. Now, with the upcom­ing devel­op­ments, it will devel­op into an even more ver­sa­tile area for out­door activ­i­ties, sports, and recre­ation in the com­ing years.

To the sad­dle, ski tracks, putting greens, and the waters…

Those who enjoy an active lifestyle will sure­ly find some­thing they love to do at Vir­pinie­mi already. The area’s ski tracks are among the best in the Oulu region, run­ning and cycling paths are excel­lent, and the golf course is firm­ly among Fin­land’s most respect­ed and beau­ti­ful.

The disc golf course is in active use, as are the arti­fi­cial turf and padel courts, as well as the out­door fit­ness park. There’s also a des­ig­nat­ed ani­mal sports area for eques­tri­an and dog sports. Hik­ers can find rest stops at camp­fire sites, as well as a bird­watch­ing tow­er. Near­by sports facil­i­ties include an SF-Car­a­van camp­site and plen­ty of hol­i­day homes.

The sea and coastal scenery sur­round Vir­pinie­mi from many direc­tions. The area has a cozy beach, a mari­na, and a coast guard sta­tion. In win­ter, you can go tour skat­ing on the frozen sea.

Even more to expe­ri­ence and enjoy

Vir­piniemi’s renew­al is already well under­way. The ski track net­work has been ren­o­vat­ed to meet FIS stan­dards, the unique and high-qual­i­ty golf cen­tre is expand­ing, and there are plans for new devel­op­ments in the for­mer sports acad­e­my facil­i­ties.

Right in the heart of abun­dant recre­ation­al oppor­tu­ni­ties, there is also a site with great poten­tial: a prime loca­tion from the per­spec­tive of all the area’s activ­i­ty spots, enough build­ing rights, and stun­ning nat­ur­al land­scapes open­ing in every direc­tion. It offers fan­tas­tic oppor­tu­ni­ties for var­i­ous types of busi­ness­es, such as accom­mo­da­tion and restau­rant ser­vices, as well as var­i­ous retail, rental, and main­te­nance ser­vices in the ground floor.
