Oulu Wel­comes Inter­na­tion­al Tal­ent: Suc­cess at Career Event

The “Explore Study and Career Oppor­tu­ni­ties in Oulu” event held at Tech­nop­o­lis on Jan­u­ary 14th was a resound­ing suc­cess.

Atten­dees (more than 40) dis­cov­ered a wealth of resources and sup­port for inter­na­tion­al stu­dents and pro­fes­sion­als.

Experts from Oulu Skills Cen­tre OSKE, Uni­ver­si­ty of Oulu, OAMK, Mul­ti­cul­tur­al Cen­tre Vil­la Vic­tor and Business­Oulu shared valu­able insights on:

• Study pro­grams: Includ­ing path­ways, appli­ca­tion process­es, and prepara­to­ry edu­ca­tion like the “Towards Uni­ver­si­ty” project by Emma Pih­la­ja­maa and Liisa Väisä­nen (Uni­ver­si­ty of Oulu) and Denis Pugachev (OAMK-SIMHE).
• Career oppor­tu­ni­ties: With a focus on dig­i­tal­iza­tion and future trends under the Reboot Skills Inter­na­tion­al Project, pre­sent­ed by speak­er Anna Sachinopoulou (Uni­ver­si­ty of Oulu).
• Lan­guage learn­ing: Veli-Pekka Pelko­nen high­light­ed Finnish lan­guage resources avail­able at Vil­la Vic­tor. Liisa Väisä­nen briefed about the Finnish lan­guage cours­es at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Oulu.
• Sup­port ser­vices: Ella Sep­pä­nen from Business­Oulu dis­cussed study oppor­tu­ni­ties com­bined with unem­ploy­ment ben­e­fits.

All the speak­ers were present to clar­i­fy and dis­cuss the queries of the atten­dees at the end of the ses­sion.

This event strength­ened con­nec­tions between the inter­na­tion­al com­mu­ni­ty and local orga­ni­za­tions, paving the way for future suc­cess in Oulu.
