Build­ing the ground­work for Oulu Inno­va­tion Alliance’s ecosys­tem for the com­ing years

Build­ing the ground­work for Oulu Inno­va­tion Alliance’s ecosys­tem for the com­ing years – devel­op­ment and coor­di­na­tion project 2025–2027 aims to guide Oulu Inno­va­tion Alliance part­ners and the region’s ecosys­tem towards tak­ing ambi­tious steps for more impact­ful and bold research, devel­op­ment, and inno­va­tion col­lab­o­ra­tion that strength­ens the region’s com­pet­i­tive­ness and pro­duces north­ern inno­va­tions for glob­al chal­lenges.

Through this project, the ground­work for Oulu Inno­va­tion Alliance’s 4th agree­ment peri­od will be imple­ment­ed togeth­er with part­ners, and the roadmap for region­al RDIE coop­er­a­tion from 2028 onwards will be planned.

The project ensures the increased uti­liza­tion and devel­op­ment of the region’s inno­va­tion, test­ing, and exper­i­men­ta­tion plat­forms in a cus­tomer- and need-dri­ven direc­tion, cre­ates a shared vision of exper­tise for the Inno­va­tion Alliance by 2035, and acti­vates the OIA col­lab­o­ra­tion and ecosys­tem through joint events and inno­va­tion activ­i­ties.

The project aims to ensure the real­iza­tion of goals and activ­i­ties in line with the ecosys­tem agree­ment 2021–2027 between the City of Oulu and the Min­istry of Eco­nom­ic Affairs and Employ­ment in col­lab­o­ra­tion with the Oulu Inno­va­tion Alliance. The project sup­ports the devel­op­ment and coor­di­na­tion of OIA oper­a­tions toward the final stages of the agree­ment peri­od.
