The City of Oulu is the capi­tal of nort­hern Fin­land. The Oulu Region has about 250,000 inha­bi­tants and is the fas­test growing region in Fin­land.

The Uni­ver­si­ty of Oulu

The Uni­ver­si­ty of Oulu is an inter­na­tio­nal science uni­ver­si­ty that crea­tes new know­led­ge, well­being and inno­va­tions for the futu­re through research and educa­tion. The Uni­ver­si­ty of Oulu, foun­ded in 1958, is one of the lar­gest and most mul­ti­discipli­na­ry uni­ver­si­ties in Fin­land.

Educa­tio­nal Con­sor­tium OSAO (VET) is a lea­ding educa­tio­nal com­mu­ni­ty of voca­tio­nal experts in Fin­land, pro­vi­ding work life skills and con­ti­nuo­us lear­ning. We offer educa­tion in all the dif­fe­rent sec­tors of voca­tio­nal educa­tion for all age groups.

The well­being ser­vices coun­ty of North Ostro­both­nia, Poh­de

North Ostro­both­nia well­being ser­vices coun­ty Poh­de orga­ni­ses and pro­duces public social, health and rescue ser­vices for the resi­dents of North Ostro­both­nia. Poh­de (Oulu Uni­ver­si­ty Hos­pi­tal) pro­duces specia­li­sed health care for the enti­re Nort­hern Fin­land coo­pe­ra­tion area.

The Natu­ral Resources Ins­ti­tu­te Fin­land

The Natu­ral Resources Ins­ti­tu­te Fin­land (Luke) is a research orga­ni­sa­tion ope­ra­ting under the Mini­stry of Agricul­tu­re and Fore­stry of Fin­land. Luke’s task is to pro­mo­te com­pe­ti­ti­ve busi­ness based on the sus­tai­nable use of renewable natu­ral resources as well as well­being and the vita­li­ty of the count­ry­si­de.
