InnoK­il­pa — inno­v­a­tive com­pet­i­tive­ness for the Oulu region

The project will strength­en the research, devel­op­ment and inno­va­tion activ­i­ties of SMEs in North Ostro­both­nia and improve the abil­i­ty of com­pa­nies to uti­lize arti­fi­cial intel­li­gence solu­tions in devel­op­ing busi­ness and com­pet­i­tive­ness.

The project will map the cur­rent state of RDI activ­i­ties of SMEs and obsta­cles to financ­ing and will acti­vate com­pa­nies to apply for pub­lic RDI fund­ing. The project will form a new coop­er­a­tion mod­el for research-based inno­va­tions and busi­ness pro­mo­tion togeth­er with com­pa­nies, uni­ver­si­ties and the city. Arti­fi­cial intel­li­gence will be used to strength­en coop­er­a­tion between actors.

In addi­tion, the AI Forum Oulu ecosys­tem will be assem­bled, which sup­ports the region­al uti­liza­tion of arti­fi­cial intel­li­gence. The ecosys­tem will strength­en coop­er­a­tion between com­pa­nies and research insti­tu­tions.
