Open posi­tion: Com­mu­ni­ca­tions Trainee, Inter­na­tion­al House Oulu

Business­Oulu is a pub­lic enter­prise of the City of Oulu, estab­lished to devel­op busi­ness and employ­ment in the Oulu region. We are look­ing for an inter­na­tion­al­ly ori­ent­ed trainee to join our Inter­na­tion­al House Oulu (IH Oulu) team for 3 months. IH Oulu gath­ers dif­fer­ent guid­ance ser­vices under one roof. Ser­vices are tar­get­ed at inter­na­tion­al new­com­ers, immi­grants, and also com­pa­nies plan­ning to recruit inter­na­tion­al employ­ees.

Respon­si­bil­i­ties:

• Sup­port with plan­ning, imple­ment­ing, and mon­i­tor­ing mar­ket­ing cam­paigns.
• Assist with the pro­duc­tion of mar­ket­ing mate­ri­als.
• Help organ­ise and coor­di­nate events
• Write and edit Eng­lish con­tent for dif­fer­ent plat­forms, such as social media and web­sites.
• Bench­mark­ing, brain­storm­ing, and intro­duc­ing new ideas.
• Oth­er tasks as when need­ed.

Qual­i­fi­ca­tions:

• Excel­lent writ­ten and ver­bal com­mu­ni­ca­tion skills in Eng­lish;
• under­stand­ing Finnish is con­sid­ered an advan­tage
• Edit­ing skills, expe­ri­ence in social media mar­ket­ing
• Under­stand­ing of b/vlogging, social media pro­duc­tion, writ­ing and cre­at­ing graph­ic mate­ri­als, such as images for social media posts and ban­ners.
• utgo­ing per­son­al­i­ty with a dili­gent and ener­getic atti­tude
• Abil­i­ty to work inde­pen­dent­ly when need­ed;
• the trainee­ship will take place at BusinessOulu’s premis­es (Hal­li­tuskatu 36 A). There is also a pos­si­bil­i­ty to work some hours remote­ly if agreed.

Dura­tion: 3 months, prefer­ably start­ing in March 2024

Salary: 1 300 euros / month (36,25 h / week)
