VISIOK – Promoting the Green Transition in Education (Development Project)
The aim of the VISIOK project is to advance the green transition, increase awareness of sustainable energy solutions, and strengthen employment and business in Northern Ostrobothnia. This will be achieved by enhancing education through various development measures and implementing new research, demonstration, and learning environments. Additionally, the project aims to develop a new logistics power ecosystem in collaboration with local companies.
The project will produce new research data, particularly on the performance of hydrogen and electric trucks in various transport tasks. It will also establish learning environments for sustainable internal logistics, forestry, and the maintenance and servicing of alternative-powered utility vehicles.
Extensive discussions will be held with stakeholders from the forestry sector, automotive maintenance, and transport and logistics companies to identify skills needed and future development perspectives.
Moreover, the project includes benchmarking visits to leading companies and educational institutions in the field. Discussions will also be held with OEM companies regarding available solutions, including hydrogen trucks, electric trucks, forestry simulators, virtual environments, robotics, and identification technology.
VISIOP – Green Transition Learning Environment Investments (Investment Project)
The investment project will implement the investments planned in the VISIOK development project
