From plat­forms into busi­ness

Vibrant City as a Plat­from (Elin­voimainen kaupun­ki alus­tana, EKA) is a plat­form-based mod­el for new prod­ucts and ser­vices. It is being devel­oped in part­ner­ship with the city, enter­pris­es, research insti­tu­tions, and uni­ver­si­ties.  Plat­forms and co-devel­op­ment are still a new way of doing things, and that is why one of the goals in EKA is to fur­ther enhance coop­er­a­tion with var­i­ous insti­tu­tions and com­pa­nies in Oulu. The mod­el will be imple­ment­ed in the every­day life of cities and busi­ness­es through pilot projects. In addi­tion, the project and its pilots will con­tribute to a busi­ness mod­el and a busi­ness plan that clear­ly describe the process of a plat­form-based mod­el, nec­es­sary resources and oth­er inputs as well as the results to be achieved.
